Pembroke Pines, FL. Walmartian Uses Poison

Wal-Mart's employee credo is based on "respect for the individual". But sometimes Walmartians give each other a little more than just respect. At the Wal-Mart store in Pembroke Pines, Florida, the work atmosphere has literally been poisoned. Mark Caruso, who works in the optometry section of the local Wal-Mart store, found an unusual gift in his Dr. Pepper soda. Caruso left the can of soda on his desk recently, and while he stepped away, one of his employees laced his soda with rat poison, according to APBnews.com. When Caruso returned and began drinking his Dr.Pepper, he became ill and had to drive himself to the Broward County Memorial West Hospital. Based on a police report, Caruso knew that his office was under video surveillance. Sure enough, the tape revealed that Femesha Foster, 32, of Miami, has dumped the rat poison into his drink. Why? Police would only say publicly that Foster was under "economic-crimes investigation". No further elaboration of what kind of economic crimes are going on inside the Pembroke Pines store. The suspect later told police that she "wanted to buy some time" because she was a supect in the other case being investigated. Police say Foster may have wanted to poison her boss because he "ratted" to police that she should be a suspect in the case. Wal-Mart managers would not comment on the poisoning, but police said that Foster, who also worked in the Wal-Mart optometry section, had a previous criminal history. Foster now faces up to 30 years in state prison on charges of attempted murder.

What you can do: Looking for a chance to break into film? Wal-Mart workers get unusual chances to appear on film. The hidden video camera in Mark Caruso's office is just one opportunity for associate creativity. Now in many Wal-Mart stores, if you look on the roofline of the exterior of the building, you will see a line of video cameras for parking lot surveillance. Big box stores don't like to talk about crime inside and outside their stores, but if you've ever wanted to star in films, just drive into a Wal-Mart parking lot, and act naturally.
